A Hacker Holiday Party!
What is the best way to celebrate the holidays? Music, drinking, friends of a like mind!
Please join us, a bunch of programmers, nerds, geeks, hackers, to celebrate the season by consuming the traditional holiday meal of beer and pizza, listening to The Handicapper Generals fill the hall with blues-rock, and, if you're so inclined, compete in the traditional holiday programming contest against your fellow programmers. How can you not be excited about an event absolutely dripping reverence for tradition?
6:30PM The Handicapper Generals take the stage! Be sure to arrive early to hear the traditional holiday blues-rock covers of songs by The Black Keys, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and more. At this point, the beer will be flowing, and the pizza will be ... sitting there, waiting for you to eat it.
7:30PM The band jumps down from the stage, but the music continues with a traditional holiday mix. Continued merriment, eating, and drinking.
8:30PM More merriment, and related trappings.
10:00PM You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here (unless you're going to help us clean up)! (Seriously, though, please choose a safe method for getting home.)
